About linen
Linen is one of the most elegant, beautiful and durable of all fabrics. The natural colour of fine linens varies from a pale cream to a light tan, and the smoothness of the fibres gives them a characteristic silky lustre. Although it creases easily it is also easily ironed, and with use the material becomes softer and more luminous, so that unlike most other materials its appearance actually improves with age.
Because it is naturally absorbent and a good conductor of heat, clothes made from linen are particularly suitable in warm weather and hot climates, whether at home or travelling abroad. It allows your skin to breathe, and the loose fitting designs of the azahar collection ensure that you will stay cool whatever the weather.
Linen is also ideal for those whose skin is sensitive to synthetic materials, and because the fibres in good quality linens are smooth and hard they do not collect germs and dirt as readily as most other fabrics.
Linen is also environmentally friendly. It is a renewable resource that is easily incorporated into modern crop cycles, and requires little use of fertilizers and pesticides.
